1. What the Site is

TryRestaurantsNear.Me publishes restaurant picks and guides for places across the United States. Each pick summarizes publicly available information about a restaurant: current ratings and review counts, recent public reviews, listed hours, price level, cuisine, contact details, and photos supplied by the listing provider. Nothing on the Site is professional, legal, financial, or health advice.

2. How our picks are made

Our state editors are house bylines: consistent editorial voices maintained by TryRestaurantsNear.Me and assisted by software. They are not real individuals. Each pick is drafted from public data about the restaurant and then reviewed before it is published. We do not claim to have dined at every restaurant we write about, and a pick is not a personal, on-site inspection unless the page says so.

Details change constantly. Hours, prices, menus, ownership, and quality can all shift after we publish. Always confirm with the restaurant before you travel, and treat ratings as a snapshot rather than a guarantee.

3. Business information and photos

Business listings, ratings, review counts, and photographs are provided by third-party data sources and remain the property of their owners or contributors. We display them with the attribution supplied by the source. If you own a listing or a photograph and want it corrected or removed, contact us and we will handle it promptly.

4. Member reviews and ratings

If you hold an account, you may post reviews, ratings, and votes. You agree that:

• your review describes your own genuine experience at that restaurant;
• you are not paid, incentivized, or otherwise compensated by the restaurant or a competitor for what you write;
• you will not post content that is defamatory, harassing, discriminatory, obscene, unlawful, or that reveals another person's private information;
• you will not post duplicate, automated, or bulk reviews.

Member reviews are moderated. We may publish, decline, edit for length and clarity, or remove any submission at our discretion, and we may suspend accounts that abuse the system. By submitting a review you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to host, reproduce, adapt, and display that content on the Site and in our newsletters and social posts, with attribution to your display name.

5. Votes and anti-abuse measures

Thumbs-up and thumbs-down votes are open to visitors without an account. To keep the counts meaningful we apply automated abuse controls, including rate limits and a rotating, non-identifying fingerprint of the request. Attempting to manipulate votes, ratings, or rankings by any automated or coordinated means is a breach of these Terms.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• scrape, crawl, or bulk-download the Site except as permitted by our robots file;
• republish substantial portions of our content without written permission;
• interfere with the Site's operation or attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours;
• use the Site to send spam, malware, or unlawful commercial solicitation.

7. Our content

Editorial text, page design, logos, and the arrangement of the Site are owned by TryRestaurantsNear.Me and protected by copyright and trademark law. You may link to and quote short excerpts with attribution. Everything else requires permission.

8. Advertising and affiliate disclosure

The Site may display advertising and may participate in affiliate or referral programs. Advertising never determines which restaurant is selected as a pick or how it is described. Where a link earns us a commission, we disclose it.

9. Accounts

You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in details secure. You must be at least 13 years old to hold an account. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms.

10. Disclaimers

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that business information, ratings, hours, or prices shown on the Site are accurate, complete, or current, and we are not responsible for your experience at any restaurant.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TryRestaurantsNear.Me will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, arising from your use of the Site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site will not exceed one hundred US dollars.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold TryRestaurantsNear.Me harmless from claims, damages, and reasonable legal fees arising from content you submit or from your breach of these Terms.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. When we do, we will change the effective date above. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
